Kevin has often been the go-to consultant for support in launching or enhancing major civic celebrations. Most notably, in 2011-12, Bartram was called in to help the Golden Gate National Park Conservancy with development of a multi-layered celebration for the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge.
After a previous attempt to develop corporate sponsors in support of the iconic bridge stalled, it was determined that sponsors would be the best avenue for underwriting the planned waterfront celebration and to help with funding for a new visitor center and trail enhancements around the iconic structure.
Kevin and his team helped the Conservancy realize their dream and, in less than a year, generated $4 million in sponsorship and $2 million in in-kind media support. Major sponsors included Genentech, Wells Fargo, HP, Kaiser Permanente, and Odwalla, as well as NBC, the Chronicle and Cumulous Broadcasting. The results were a real blast—one of the largest fireworks celebrations the Bay has ever seen and an epic celebration worthy of the world-famous landmark.
