Civic Engagement: America’s Cup/ONESF

In 2013, San Francisco was the proud host of the 34th America’s Cup, the most famous recurring sailing event in the world. The San Francisco America’s Cup Organizing Committee, in conjunction with the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, retained Bartram to design a community-centric partnership program in support of the event, resulting in ONESF: Celebrate the Cup.  

This innovative sponsorship marketing program expanded the visibility and impact of the Cup’s role in developing community projects such as San Francisco’s eco-friendly cruise ship terminal, expanded youth sailing programs and public waterfront improvements.

Partners signed on to support the City’s role in the event, allowing brands to get involved both as a community benefactor and as a supporter of the race itself. Sponsor packages melded benefits from a range of sources and allowed ONESF partners to be more than just sailing sponsors.
