Our Work

Go-to-Market Sponsorship Strategies

We have developed go-to-market sponsorship marketing strategies that have attracted substantial revenues from brand partners to support property clients such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Sonoma Raceway, Walt Disney Family Museum, Green Sports Alliance, Fresno State and the Exploratorium. On the brand side, we have developed experiential marketing programs, negotiated high-ROI partnerships and managed brand activations with properties.

Experiential Marketing Programs

At Bartram Partnerships, we have facilitated strategic partnerships to support the experiential marketing programs of dozens of major clients. From our award-winning activation work with PG&E and the Golden State Warriors to a variety of sports sustainability projects, our work has consistently focused on facilitating valuable and successful strategic relationships and programs between properties and brands.

Strategic Planning and Program Development

Whether we are working with brands or properties, we offer all of our clients strategic planning and program development to ensure the execution of successful sponsorship and experiential marketing programs. Our success is driven by our expertise in bringing together organizations with overlapping audience demographics and complementary objectives that ultimately serve a shared mission.

Our Practice Areas

Our civic engagement programs have activated significant community events that raised millions of dollars in funding and offered substantial value to corporate partners. Ranging from the Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary to the California State Fair, America’s Cup to the Mill Valley Film Festival, our involvement in major civic events has benefited communities, brand partners and event principals alike.

Nonprofits rely on strategic, long-term partnerships to sustain the success of their cause. Our innovative work with major nonprofits such as the Bay Area Discovery Museum, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and the Exploratorium—and the brands who partner with them—has consistently led to substantial advancements in their viability and their missions. We have also partnered with American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, California State Parks Foundation and many other high-impact nonprofit organizations.

Partnerships don’t always involve just two entities; many of our projects require facilitating a more complex array of collaborations and partnerships. Our event design services result in the creation of multi-sector partners—corporate, media, sports, government, nonprofit and more—that complement one another and benefit all long-term. When we helped develop the Golden Gate Bridge 75th Anniversary program, we synthesized media, government, NGO and brand partners to enable a celebration that gave proper recognition to the iconic structure. For the San Jose Grand Prix, we were able to accelerate the process to get the revolutionary road race established by blending the assets and needs of a diverse base of core partners and recruited over 30 corporate and media partners.

Naming rights partner development is a unique practice that has evolved over the years but retains significance far beyond the financial transaction and naming of a building. In projects such as the development of Pacific Bell (now AT&T) Park, Save Mart Center, Wells Fargo Pavilion and others, we have facilitated numerous partnerships with compelling and compatible title sponsors.

Many partnerships are built for the purpose of generating a greater social good, and the development of these programs serves broad and varying interests with great impact. Kevin and collaborators engaged to advance the Human Potential Movement, as we developed partnership programs for the Esalen Institute, Institute of Noetic Sciences and publishers and authors from the personal development space to further cultivate the extraordinary potential that lies in all people. Additionally, Kevin’s work with Cisco Systems in the late ‘90s led to the creation of NetAid, a global-cause platform involving the United Nations, Bono, Quincy Jones and dozens of other major musical acts and international leaders.

Government and university partnerships can be among the most complex, yet often make the greatest impact on large communities of people. Our work with clients such as the cities of San Francisco and Sacramento, NASA Ames and universities, including UC Davis, UC Riverside and CSU Fresno, have supported the development and funding of new venues, major events, city recreation programs and education platforms.

Sustainability and other social causes are the cornerstone of our work. By stewarding partnerships and projects between clients such as the San Francisco Giants and PG&E, which led directly to AT&T Park’s enhanced sustainability and LEED certification, our work is making a substantive impact on many communities and on the way influential brands advance their missions through partnerships. Our work at Sonoma Raceway helped develop a unique approach to sustainability sponsorship, producing a major solar energy deal with Panasonic, alternative fuel partnership with Amyris, and tire recycling with Yokohama. And our ongoing partnership with the Green Sports Alliance is furthering the mission of their innovative organization through partnerships in a variety of sectors.

We have worked with many major sports entities in the Bay Area and beyond, facilitating high-impact, high-visibility partnerships that gratify stakeholders and entertain fans. We enjoy daily high-level access to major Bay Area teams, having conducted direct client work and brand representation with all. We are currently an active channel to partnerships for events at Levi’s Stadium, AT&T Park and Chase Center, and we are in a unique position to facilitate relationships for the new Oakland A’s ballpark.

Based on our long history of success here in the San Francisco market, we are often called in to help with major events such as the SF Super Bowl 50 Fan Village, America’s Cup and Outside Lands, a now iconic festival that we supported with strategic sustainability partnerships for its first eight years. We enjoy great relationships with leading entertainment producers including Live Nation, AEG and Another Planet Entertainment.
